TUITION / FEES / FINANCIAL AID / FINANCIAL LITERACY
Tuition and Fees
  • By the end of June 2019, information about tuition and fees for the 2019-20 academic year will be posted on the Bursar’s website at http://bursar.temple.edu/ Fall semester bills are electronically issued on July 22nd and due by September 12th. If you have issues with additional fees or questions about your cost of attendance, please contact Lisa Duncan at [email protected]. 

   Financial Aid
  • The Office of Student Financial Services began notifying students of the 2019-2020 financial aid packages beginning in late March.
  • If you filed your 2019-2020 FAFSA more than 3 weeks ago and have not yet received an email notification, please contact our office at [email protected].
  • If you have not yet filed your FAFSA, it’s not too late and it can be submitted at www.fafsa.gov. Be sure to include Temple University’s federal school code (003371).
    • It takes 1-3 days for LKSOM to receive your FAFSA and federal loans can then be offered.  You will receive an email notification when your financial aid award package is available to view/accept/decline through Self-Service Banner (SSB) on the TUPortal. 
      In SSB, you must first review the Terms & Conditions tab to be able to accept or decline any specific awards on the Accept Award Offer tab.  You can accept partial or full awards.
    • Sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN) online for each loan type you are planning to use (Unsubsidized and/or Grad PLUS) at www.studentloans.gov. You will select Temple University (003371) as your school choice on the MPN. LKSOM will update signed MPN requirements in mid-July.  Be sure to retain a PDF copy for your records and future reference if required.
    • Complete the entrance counseling for Direct Unsubsidized and Grad PLUS loans online at www.studentloans.gov. One session reviews both loan types.
  • You MUST sign the Master Promissory Note and complete entrance counseling, in order for your Direct Student Loan Funds to disburse into your Temple account. If you do not do this, you will not receive your funds.

Financial Literacy
  • LKSOM is committed to helping students enhance their financial literacy skills and knowledge. The Office of Student Financial Services will assign a mandatory financial lesson on timely financial topics each semester for all students, regardless of their financial aid status.
