CHEP: PLTW Cancer Screening and Sickle Cell Anemia - 9:00a, Tuesday, 11/28 @ Liberty and Freedom High School Here is a great opportunity for Temple/St. Luke's students to volunteer at Liberty High School's PLTW BMS Biomedical Classes and Freedom's PBS class (advanced classes for high school students interested in the medical sciences). We will design and present interactive medical lessons and mentor labs (i.e. animal dissections) to fit in the course curriculum. The commitment can be for a single day or for several throughout the academic year. This is a fun way to sharpen your teaching skills and mentor high school students. Sign up here. WHIG: OB/GYN Skills Session - 12:00p, Wednesday 11/29 @ Estes Lecture Room Please Join Women's Health Interest Group for an ob/gyn skills session from 12-2 with stations to learn and practice suturing, pelvic exams, delivering a baby, pap smears, and more! We will have residents to instruct and help out and there will be lunch provided. SGA: 2017 Investment Grant - Due Monday, Nov 13th Attached is the 2016 Investment Grant application, which may be submitted by any SGA-recognized student organization at the St. Luke's Regional Campus. The applications are due by Monday, Nov 13th, 2017 and are intended to enable student groups to make capital investments to enrich student learning, experience, or service. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - CHEP: Liberty Health Fair - 7:30a - 2:30p, Monday 11/13 @ Liberty High School This is our annual health fair at Liberty High School. We have brand new posters for this year, covering a range of high school health topics such as alcohol use, smoking, drugs of abuse, etc. We rotate through health classes and teach students about the topics in informal presentations.
