*We are having some issues with our SGA gmail, but we are in the process of trying to figure out how to fix the problem.*

Hello St. Luke's students,

Below are the weekly announcements for the upcoming week. Please submit all events for the weekly email by clicking on this link for the announcement submission form by 5:00 pm on Sunday. When requesting a room in the Estes building, use the room reservation form. Please submit reimbursements to Ana Ruela [Ana.Ruela@sluhn.org] using the reimbursement form. Check out all upcoming events at St. Luke's on our SGA calendar. If you are a student leader, please refer to the student org leaders google drive folder. Campus Activities and Events

1. CHEP: PLTW Cancer Screening and Sickle Cell Anemia - 9:00a, Tuesday, 11/28 @ Liberty and Freedom High School

Here is a great opportunity for Temple/St. Luke's students to volunteer at Liberty High School's PLTW BMS Biomedical Classes and Freedom's PBS class (advanced classes for high school students interested in the medical sciences). We will design and present interactive medical lessons and mentor labs (i.e. animal dissections) to fit in the course curriculum. The commitment can be for a single day or for several throughout the academic year. This is a fun way to sharpen your teaching skills and mentor high school students. Sign up here.

Contact: Ronya Silmi, tug28489@temple.edu

2. WHIG: OB/GYN Skills Session - 12:00p, Wednesday 11/29 @ Estes Lecture Room

Please Join Women's Health Interest Group for an ob/gyn skills session from 12-2 with stations to learn and practice suturing, pelvic exams, delivering a baby, pap smears, and more! We will have residents to instruct and help out and there will be lunch provided.

Contact: Madeline Lederer, tug81580@temple.edu

3. DIIG: Interventional Radiology Career Information - 5:00p, Thursday 11/30 @ Broadway Social (217 Broadway, Bethlehem)

Contact: Dhanu Thiyagarajan, dkthiyag@temple.edu

4. CHEP: Freedom High School Health Day - 7:30a-12:30p, Friday 12/1 @ Freedom High School (3149 Chester Ave)

We will have a powerpoint presentation and a couple of patient cases about drugs to present to high school health classes. Please sign-up here.

Contact: Dhanu Thiyagarajan, dkthiyag@temple.edu

5. CoVER: Philabundance Winter Food and Coat Drive

CoVER is partnering with the Community Service Chairs at the Temple main campus to collect dried food items and winter coats for Philabundance, a hunger relief organization that serves more than 700,000 people in 9 counties in PA and NJ. Many of these people do not know where their next meal will come from or if they will have one at all, so any contribution is greatly appreciated. A large box will be placed in the student lounge on the ground floor of the Estes building from Monday, November 20th until Friday, December 8th to collect dried food items (see link: http://www.philabundance.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Top10-11x17-R02.pdf) and winter coats. Any items donated to this box will count toward Saunders College for College Cup points. Alternatively, if you choose to donate food items through the Amazon Wish List, all you have to do is add the item to your cart from the wish list and it’ll be shipped straight to the school. Please write "Saunders College" in the gift receipt. The link to the Amazon wish list is here: http://a.co/4oZFb34.
