BREMbassador Information Session BREMbassadors help the BREM Foundation reach their mission of spreading breast health education and empowering women to take control of their breast health. The roles and responsibilities of a BREMbassador are to educate women about early detection of breast cancer, and spread awareness regarding screening, individualized risk factors, and self-advocacy. Each volunteer is asked to complete a training and 5 presentations within the first year of volunteering. Here is more information from the BREM Foundation and how you can become a BREMbassador: http://www.bremfoundation.org/become-a-brembassador/ For medical students interested in women's health, preventive medicine, breast surgery, breast imaging (really ANY kind of medicine...), being a BREMbassador is an awesome way to form connections with others interested in women's health and spread life-saving education to underserved women. The hours spent volunteering as a BREMbassador can also count towards hours volunteering with the Department of Community Health & Preventive Medicine.
