Temple Med Soccer - Champions of Co-Ed Inter-professional School Soccer League of Philadelphia11/19/2016 Last Sunday, Temple Med Soccer won the Co-Ed Interprofessional School Soccer League of Philadelphia Championship game against Jefferson Health Schools with a score of 1-0! On their way to victory, they also defeated Villanova Law 3-1 in the semi-finals. Throughout the season that ran between August and November 2016, they played 11 games while leading the league with no losses and only two goals conceded!
The Temple med soccer team was made up of MD, MD/PhD and PA students from all years, and playing with the club was a great way for students to enjoy their time away from the classroom. The team was proud of their diversity, with men and women representing countries such as Argentina, China, France, and Ghana. They wish to thank their fellow Temple Owls for continued support throughout the year! If you want to check out the trophy they won, please stop by the Library, where librarian and Temple Med Soccer Fan Derek is the official trophy keeper. Thanks to Benjamin Metais for the update and Jun Song for the amazing photos!
