Join the ophthalmology student interest group for its first meeting of the year as we learn and hone techniques for the eye exam. Following a brief discussion we'll practice with the ophthalmoscope and probe each other's eyes with a Tonopen as we learn how to measure intra-ocular pressure. Food will be served.

TEACH will be holding a session to learn/practice how to take blood pressure and blood glucose readings. If you are interested in volunteering at one of TEACH's three microclinics this fall, your attendance is mandatory at this event. Last Chance to Participate in PAMED's Med Student Debate

This October 21 at 3:45pm in Hershey, the PAMED Annual Meeting will kick-off with a med student debate on hot topics including:

• Medical Marijuana adoption and utilization
• Eliminating the Use of Opioids to Treat Chronic, Non-cancer Pain
• Appropriate Alternative Treatments to Pain
• The Influence of Social Determinants on Health Status
• Zika Virus – Implications/Ramificiations of Prevention Measures

If you are interested in participating, please email Jeff Wirick at[email protected] by 9 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 5. You will be assigned to be team of students and be given more info on the debate.
