 Learn how to define the future of your practice with the American Medical Association on Monday, November 28th. We will be joined by Dr. Stephen Permut, a noted luminary of medical societies, who will deliver a brief introduction to Organized Medicine and its impact on shaping both the history and trajectory of medical practice. Following Dr. Permut's introduction, two students will do a brief overview of this year's PAMED House of Delegates Conference, and how students can get involved in policy. The event will be catered with a full burger bar and all the cookies and rice krispies you can eat!

Medical Humanities and Discussion Group
Event Title: Middlesex Book Chapter Discussion

The Medical Humanities Discussion Group will be hosting a discussion of Jeffrey Eugenides' critically acclaimed novel Middlesex, a coming-of-age story that chronicles the life of the intersex male Cal Stephanides. Focusing on the chapter "Looking Myself Up in Webster's," our conversation will explore the topic of intersexuality and identity. Come take part in this very rich discussion! Food (non-pizza) will be served!

Please join the Infectious Diseases Interest Group, Internal Medicine Interest Group, AND the Pediatrics Interest Group on Thursday, December 1st for a lunch time panel on career paths in and toward infectious diseases! The panel will focus on career paths within the fascinating field of ID, paths toward choosing an internal medicine or pediatrics residency, where the faculty's interest in medicine and ID came, as well as residency interviewing advice. Most of the Temple Infectious Diseases faculty and several medicine residents will be there to chat! A SAFFRON lunch will be provided!
