Radiology Interest Group- Radiation Oncology Presentation Tuesday 2/23/2016, MERB 317, 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. The Temple Radiology Interest Group is hosting Dr. Curtis Miyamoto, the Chair of the Radiation Oncology Department. He will discuss the various radiation techniques used in the field of Radiation Oncology. Step 1 Review Session - Session 4 Wednesday 2/24/2016, MERB 119D, 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. Hello 2nd years! We are holding our next Step 1 Review Session on Wednesday, February 24th at noon. This session will be on GI and Pulmonary. We will also be outlining our last few upcoming sessions which will cover Heme/Onc and Rheumatology before you have the shelf on these topics and a review jeopardy game in early April. Dr. James Lachman, PGY4, and Dr. Chris Haydel, orthopedic surgery attending, will give advice on how to succeed during an ortho rotation and how to get the most out of your experience. If time permits, they will be happy to answer any other questions you may have about orthopedics. Snacks will be served. OBIG- LARC Talk and Insertion Simulation Thursday 2/25/2016, MERB 219, 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. Interested in getting some hands-on experience with Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives? Join OBIG as we hear a short talk about the various LARC methods, and then participate in hands-on practice inserting two types of IUDs with simulation kits. Lunch will be provided! Temple SNMA- Black History Month Finale: Dinner and A Movie Friday 2/26/2016, MERB 305, 4:00p.m.-6:30p.m. Come celebrate the final week of Black History Month with dinner and a movie sponsored by SNMA! We will be screening the very topical movie 3 1/2 Minutes, 10 Bullets about Florida teenager Michael Dunn and the race-related altercation with a middle aged white male that left this teen dead at 17. There will be plenty of SOUL FOOD and small group discussions during dinner! Come join us!
