Description for Weekly Announcements: The SNaHP Summit is a one-day gathering of medical and health professional students from institutions all over the country who support single-payer national health insurance, or "Medicare for all". By attending, you can expect to learn what a national health program would look like in the U.S. and vital advocacy skills geared towards health professional students. This year’s theme, “From the Streets to the Hill”, is especially relevant given recent and impending attacks on our nation’s healthcare safety nets. We hope you will join us in important strategy planning for building our national student movement for health justice. Scholarships are available to attend the summit - Financial awards from the Nick Skala Student Activist fund include shared housing at DoubleTree Hilton Center City and a $100-$300 stipend to help cover travel. The scholarship deadline is coming up real fast on January 29. All students, regardless of specialty or knowledge of single payer, are welcome to attend the SNaHP Summit. ******************************************************* Students for a National Health Program Sixth Annual Summit March 11, 2017, 9am - 7pm at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, Philadelphia Scholarship Applications and Registration at pnhp.org/student-summit Registration fee (no housing included) is $25, Registration including two nights of housing is $75 Scholarship Deadline is January 29 Email [email protected] for more information.
