Dear friends, Between now and primary election day on April 26th, Pennsylvania is ground zero for the 2016 Presidential election. It’s a critical time to mobilize and make sure that candidates hear from us and commit to end drug company price gouging, and oppose deadly trade agreements that deny life-saving medicine to poor patients worldwide. It’s urgent to seize this opportunity to make sure that drugs invented on the U.S. taxpayer dime become more affordable for patients here in the U.S., and are also freely accessible for the poor and the sick in impoverished countries. PEASE ATTEND a training to learn how to “birddog” and effectively get answers from 2016 candidates! Throughout the year, groups like AMSA, UAEM, Partners in Health Engage, Student Global AIDS Campaign and RESULTS have been a consistent presence at campaign events, putting candidates on the spot with pointed questions—and getting some incredibly bold commitments. Now, in the home stretch, we need to pick up our game even more now in the home stretch—especially here in Philadelphia! Please join UAEM, AMSA, and PIH-Engage for a 90 minute training and strategy meeting! Wednesday April 13, 4:30-6 pm University of Pennsylvania: Williams Hall, Room 217 255 S 36th St (Corner of 36th and Spruce) FREE PIZZA if you RSVP!
